How to grow your hair faster the real way

1. Castor oil : Castor oil has been used for a very long time to grow hair. It helps prevent split ends, hair loss. Castor oil contains ricinoleic acid and omega- 6 essential fatty acids which accelerates the blood flow. It nourishes and strengthens the hair follicles, resulting in strong re-growth. This can help you grow your eyelashes and eyebrows.

TIP: When washing out oil, apply the shampoo before wetting your hair as water makes it harder for the shampoo to  fully wash all the oil out. I recommend the deep cleansing tresseme shampoo as this is very deep cleansing and washes out all oil from your scalp. While normal tresseme shampoos are white coloured this is a clear blue suggesting they haven't added many moisturising properties.

2. Stop using heat/ styling tools; Using straighteners won't stop hair growth but will ensure good healthy hair. Before I started growing my hair, I cut all dead ends so while its growing it wont be dry and dead.

3. Rich foods :

  • Walnuts are rich in biotin and vitamin e, which helps protect hair from DNA damage. Walnuts also contain copper, a mineral that helps keep your natural hair colour rich and lustrous. biotin is found in many tablets that aid hair growth.
  • The iron, beta carotene, folate, and vitamin C in spinach help keep hair follicles healthy and scalp oils circulating, which helps your hair grow faster.
  • sweet potatoes contain antioxidant beta carotene, which your body turns into vitamin A. Every body cell can't function without enough vitamin A. Not having enough vitamin A can lead to itchy, dry and dandruff infested scalp.
4. Inversion method : The inversion method may not bless you with 1 inch of growth in a week, but your hair will grow quite a few inches but not in a week. Doing the method once a week, for a couple weeks will make your hair long and strong. The results differ for each person as we all have different types of hair and scalps.

5. Shampoo : Over shampooing and washing your hair everyday will strip away natural oils and means your hair won't grow as fast or healthily.
